2024 50th anniversary walk

 

2024 marks half a century since local resident Bob Warburton walked through our wood to record what he saw.

Annual General Meeting

Monday April 20 7.30pm

The AGM will take place in Totley Library on Monday 20th April at 7.30pm. There will also be a talk by Claire Bithell from Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust about the ongoing projects in the Sheaf Valley to improve flood protection.

Bird Walk with Stuart Davies.

A walk to idenyify birds by their calls and sightings.

Equipment provided for this family event.


Saturday 11th July 10.30

Butterfly Walk with Stuart Davies

We will find and
identify butterflies on the wing or in foliage


Monday 14th Sept Evening

Bat Walk  – Dave Gash. Detectors provided.


Sunday 4th October 8.30 am Val Clinging – small mammal trapping weather
permitting.


Saturday 7th Nov 10.30 am

Fungi Survey with Ziggy.

All walks start at the end of Totley Hall Lane unless otherwise stated.
The walks will be advertised on the Facebook page, website and posters around the
area nearer each event.

Practical Conservation Sessions, led by a Ranger.

Wear suitable clothing & footwear. Tools, PPE and light refreshments are provided by the Ranger.
